This
lesson we decided when we were going to start filming, what props we needed for
our film and where we would be filming.

This
week we finished off our Media Diary on the Macs. Making sure everything was up
to date and we also finished off our storyboards in our groups and added notes
for sound effects camera shots and lighting etc.

This
week we are working in our groups to work on the ideas we had come up with the
week previous so what are our intentions for the sequence we have to make.
Including the genre we had decided on a spy mystery.
What
sort of camera angles and shots to use, the character in general, what they’ll
be wearing and so on. If they have a accent or a different language, we have
also started our final idea for our storyboard so breaking down the scenes to
see how long each scene will be and making sure it will be between 1 minute 30
seconds and 2 minutes.

This
week we worked in small groups to create a storyboard for a two minute opening
to a film. We had to choose a choice of genre, what sort of characters are
included the layout of the setting music camera angles shot etc. we did this by
using our knowledge from previous lessons to be able to create this piece.

week we watched the film “Black Christmas” we watched the first 5 minutes and
had to figure out what genre the film was, where it was set and what time
period etc and how they give us the sense of genre wit the lights sounds and
camera shots used.

This
week we created our own storyboards we worked independently for this task. We
had to create a two minute sequence for the beginning of a film with a genre of
our own choice I chose a Christmas genre with it being the festive period I
used a variety of shots.

This
week we concentrated on beginnings of a few films. We had hot fuzz and Sherlock
Holmes we had around 5 minutes to watch them and then had a few minutes to
write down notes to find the answers to how they used props costumes to create
the sense of genre and also when the film was taking place I.E future past or
present the language and accents t where it was located and the characters included,
so why were the main characters attitude and appearance and how they act is
portrayed in the opening.

This
week we worked in groups of three and had set genres given to us, for example
we were given western so we had to write down as many things etc sound effects
props to which were associated with that genre. We did this for several genres
so we could get a feel for each different genre.

Today
we imported all our film footage on to the maces and pieced together our
footage to create our scene we then had to go out and film scene extra bits and
then come back import back on to the macs and edit it in to make our scene more
slicker and together.

We
storyboarded basic sequence including 3 rules. Used camera, tripod and tape.
Set up equipment and filmed the sequence. Re-Wound the tape dissembled the
camera, tripod and labelled videotape and placed safely in case and packaging.

Today
we developed our own story using two main rules we did this working in 3’s. We
created storyboards to show our ideas. We took photos worked in a group, drew
match on match storyboards and then went away to film and bring our storyboards
to life.

week we developed our own story using the two main rules, creating storyboards
using camera, directing a scene importing and editing photos using I photo on
the macs.

We
learnt about different techniques that are used in small sequences such as shot
reverse shot, 180-degree shot and match on action. We created storyboards as a
short sequence to show a small story with different shots.
